About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety and Environmental Advisor to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe planning, delivery, and review of complex projects across the construction and maintenance industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of Vistry Group's Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Policies, Standards, and legislation across all business units.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor compliance with SHE standards and provide guidance and support to site teams as needed.
  • Develop and implement effective safety and environmental procedures and protocols to minimize risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with site management and business units to identify and mitigate potential safety and environmental hazards.
  • Provide training and guidance to site teams on safety and environmental best practices and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of safety and environmental training programs for site teams.
  • Conduct regular reviews of safety and environmental performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regarding safety and environmental matters.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH Construction or equivalent diploma.
  • Experience in the construction industry, preferably in a safety advisor role.
  • Member of a Professional Body, progressing to Chartered status.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
