About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety, Health and Environment Advisor to join our team at Vistry Group PLC. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and assess potential hazards and risks associated with our construction and maintenance projects, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Develop and implement effective safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor and review safety, health, and environmental practices, and provide guidance and support to site teams as needed.
  • Collaborate with site managers, business unit directors, and other stakeholders to ensure that safety, health, and environmental objectives are met.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry associations, to stay up-to-date on the latest safety, health, and environmental best practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees and contractors on safety, health, and environmental procedures and protocols.
  • Conduct incident investigations and develop corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of safety, health, and environmental incidents, and provide regular reports to management.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH Construction or equivalent diploma.
  • Experience in the construction industry, preferably in a safety advisor role.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, health, and environmental laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
