Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Workpack Engineer to join our team at Wood. As a Workpack Engineer, you will be responsible for converting engineering designs into construction workpacks, ensuring that all deliverables meet the required technical standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Convert engineering designs into construction workpacks, adhering to technical standards.
  • Provide constructability input to engineering, optimizing construction knowledge and experience to reduce costs, improve quality, safety, and productivity.
  • Assist in developing project execution plans, bid submissions, construction methodologies, and work packaging/purchasing strategies.
  • Collaborate with project controls to develop build sequences and construction schedules, proactively managing risks.
  • Contribute to contracting strategies and bid clarification processes.
Requirements
  • Typically, a minimum of ISCED Level 5 (technical diploma/apprenticeship) or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.
  • Appropriate level of construction experience in a relevant industry sector.
  • Good technical knowledge of construction discipline and associated processes.
  • Ability to identify risks to delivery and implement mitigation/contingency plans.
  • Proven experience in interpreting discipline documentation.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments (RA), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPS), and Hazard Identification Studies (HAZIDS).
