Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Workpack Engineer to join our team at Wood. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for converting engineering designs into construction workpacks, ensuring that our projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Convert engineering designs into construction workpacks, adhering to technical standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize construction knowledge and experience, reducing costs, improving quality, safety, and productivity.
  • Develop and implement construction methodologies and work packaging strategies to support project execution.
  • Provide technical support to customers and the Wood engineering team throughout the FEED and detailed design phases.
  • Work with project controls to develop build sequences and construction schedules, proactively managing risks and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
  • Typically minimum qualified to ISCED Level 5 (technical diploma/apprenticeship) or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.
  • Appropriate level of construction experience in a relevant industry sector.
  • Good technical knowledge of construction discipline and associated processes.
  • Ability to identify risks to delivery and develop mitigation/contingency plans.
  • Proven experience in interpreting discipline documentation.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments (RA), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPS), and Hazard Identification Studies (HAZIDS).
