Job Title: Chief Commercial Officer

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Commercial Officer to lead the development and delivery of our commercial activities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the development, delivery, and expansion of the Trust's Commercial, International, and Education strategies.
  • Lead the Commercial Directorate in building on the Trust's strengths, expanding commercial developments, and increasing income generation.
  • Develop and implement a Strategic Estates strategy to maximize financial sustainability and clinical effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with key academic partners to develop a Joint Commercial Strategy, maximizing innovation and the impact and spread of research and related activities.
Requirements:
  • Post-graduate degree level education.
  • Commercial acumen and experience in a commercial and public sector environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of key NHS issues, including national and local policy drivers.
  • Ability to build, maintain, and utilize partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and sound knowledge of good corporate governance, procurement, strategic planning, risk, and performance management.
