Occupational Therapist Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team of paediatric specialists at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to children aged 0-19 years with neurological, genetic, and developmental conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and treat children aged 5-19 within our Special Schools team
- Hold a caseload of children and manage it autonomously
- Delegate effectively to junior staff and coordinate the day-to-day running of the service
- Assess for and issue postural equipment as clinically indicated
- Lead on quality improvement and service development projects

Requirements
- Registered with HCPC
- Knowledge of relevant disability, NHS, and social care legislation, including safeguarding
- Highly specialist knowledge and understanding of application of Occupational Therapy for neurological and neurodevelopmental paediatric-related conditions
- Advanced clinical reasoning skills, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills
