Governance and Risk Manager

James Stevens Associates is seeking a highly skilled Governance and Risk Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining a strong risk management framework.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the preparation for the forthcoming RSH Inspection, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Executive Leadership Team, and the Board to ensure preparedness and achieve G1, V1, C1 assessment.
- Ensure quick access to essential documents, such as tenancy agreements, stock condition surveys, asset management, maintenance, and governance documentation, and work with the Senior Leadership Team to remedy any potential issues before an inspection.
- Lead documentation of our compliance with the consumer and economic standards, including property inspections and maintenance to comply with health and safety standards, tenant satisfaction, and tenancy management documentation.
- Provide advice, guidance, and briefing across the organization on housing strategies, policies, projects, in relation to the requirements of the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) Consumer and Economic Standards and Housing Ombudsman Service (HoS).
- Review our risk policy framework and lead on the risk appetite and tolerance assessment and sessions with the Board, ensuring that our three lines of defence are appropriate and we continue to embed throughout the organization and remain compliant with regulation and legislations.
- A competitive salary of £62,000.
- A 12-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension.
- A hybrid working arrangement, with 2 days in the office and 3 days from home, plus a pilot scheme for a 35-hour week.
