Job Summary:

Premier Group Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer to join our client's team in a permanent capacity. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and analysis of mechanical systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and analysis of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Develop and maintain 3D CAD models and technical drawings using Siemens NX
  • Implement PDM software to manage design data and collaborate with the design team
  • Recruit, train, and develop a team of mechanical design engineers to support the growth of the design function
  • Liaise with manufacturing providers to ensure smooth production processes
  • Contribute to the development of project plans, reports, and documentation
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve technical issues and improve design processes
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mechanical design and analysis

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with a strong background in 3D CAD and PDM software
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience in managing teams and developing design processes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Marine, Subsea, Aerospace, or Automotive industries
  • Knowledge of composites and their applications in mechanical design
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other design software
