We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Officer to join our financial control team at Reed. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate processing and recording of cash flow, income, and expenditure.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare the Group's CIS and VAT returns, including monthly income and expenditure analysis of coding.
- Maintain general ledger accounts, prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepayments, variances, and other adjustments as required.
- Support the Assistant Financial Controller with regulatory and funder returns.
- Undertake daily bank journals into the ledger and complete monthly bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for relevant accounts.
- CCAB part-qualified or qualified by experience.
- Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of month-end processes.
- Knowledge of tax, particularly partial exemption VAT.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools.
- DBS clearance will be required for this role.
