Ribbons & Reeves is seeking a highly skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a popular Newham Primary School.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, Global Delay, MLD/SLD, on a 1:1 basis or in a class setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with SEN in a 1:1 or group setting
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with the SENCo to monitor student progress and adjust support strategies as needed
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student support
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN
- Training or experience in Makaton, PECS, or Team Teach
- Flexibility, proactivity, and patience
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to working full-time
