We are seeking an experienced Training Workshops Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organisation, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality workshops and training sessions that are co-designed and co-delivered by qualified practitioners and family carers.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the development and delivery of a programme of five workshops, ensuring they are engaging, accessible, and relevant to diverse audiences.
- Promote and secure bookings for workshops, leading to income generation.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including family carers and professionals.
- Drive forward the programme of workshops, ensuring it meets the needs of our organisation and stakeholders.
We are looking for an experienced trainer with a deep understanding of issues affecting children and adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. You will have experience of co-production, workshop design, and programme management. You will be comfortable with autonomy and have the initiative to drive forward the programme of workshops.
You will be an excellent communicator, with strong interpersonal and organisational skills. You will be able to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including family carers and professionals. You will be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children, young people, and adults with severe learning disabilities.
About Our OrganisationOur organisation was set up in 1997 by Vivien Cooper OBE, the parent of a child with severe learning disabilities who displayed a range of challenging behaviours. We are a small, friendly charity dedicated to improving quality of life for children, young people, and adults with severe learning disabilities and their families. We are passionate about championing the rights of family carers and providing timely information and support.
