We are seeking a Lead Cost Consultant to join our UK South Build division, contributing to significant commercial or residential projects in the region. As a Lead Cost Consultant, you will be a pivotal figure, responsible for the Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) and engaging in client discussions. The plan is to have a Construction Manager involved throughout the procurement phase, transitioning to a part-time role as the Lead Cost Consultant takes over to ensure project completion. We are looking to fill two positions.

Key Responsibilities Develop and adapt the commercial strategy to align with project progression. Collaborate with and commercially influence other team members and the construction workflow. Assume responsibility for, manage, and represent the company in commercial and contractual matters, including but not limited to: preparing tenders, evaluating and selecting suitable subcontractors, finalizing subcontractor agreements, and overseeing financial management to Final Account completion. Prepare and agree on valuations, including generating certificates and processing invoices/payments. Regularly update projected Final Accounts and ensure timely preparation, submission, and agreement of Final Accounts. Oversee traditional contracts and contracts exceeding €/£15m. Manage the documentation and submission of claims related to delays and losses/expenses, capable of formulating detailed arguments and representing the company to relevant parties. Qualifications Understanding of legal frameworks and industry standards. Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in legislation and industry trends. Familiarity with Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR). Strong presentation and communication abilities. Ability to manage both personnel and situations with sensitivity and to the company's commercial benefit. Demonstrated commercial acumen and creativity.
