The Lowther Street Crisis House stands as Cumbria's sole community crisis facility, designed to offer a distinctive alternative to psychiatric hospitalization. This initiative provides a comprehensive support system within a secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment, free from the stigmas and limitations associated with traditional hospital settings.
Understanding that recovery is a unique journey for everyone, we believe that with the right support at the right moment, we can foster recovery across the nation. Your role will be pivotal in empowering individuals who utilize our services to sustain their independence and housing stability within the community. You will collaborate with them to develop personalized support strategies aimed at achieving their personal goals and aspirations. Whether it involves enhancing their domestic skills, financial management, or exploring work, leisure, or educational opportunities, you will have ample opportunity to make a significant impact.
No prior experience is necessary as comprehensive training will be provided. However, candidates with an understanding of mental health challenges or personal experience are encouraged to apply. What matters most is your empathetic nature and enthusiasm for supporting others. Regardless of your background, you should be comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a team, and be open to participating in a weekly rota system, including on-call responsibilities.

Richmond Fellowship is part of Recovery Focus, a national coalition of charities renowned for delivering specialized support services to individuals and families affected by mental health issues, substance use, gambling, and domestic violence.
We are seeking a Supportive Living Facilitator for 22.5 hours per week and a Waking Night Supportive Living Facilitator for 20 hours per week. Please specify your preferred role in your application.
