The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is renowned for its exceptional patient care, education, and research, collaborating with the Institute of Cancer Research to establish the largest comprehensive cancer center in Europe.
An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Volunteer and Community Fundraising Assistant to contribute to our mission. This role is vital in supporting our fundraising efforts and engaging with the community to promote awareness and support for our services.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of community fundraising strategies to enhance engagement and support for the Trust.
- Collaborate with various teams to organize fundraising events and initiatives, ensuring they align with the Trust's objectives.
- Provide support and guidance to volunteers involved in fundraising activities, fostering a positive and productive environment.
- Maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to promote collaborative fundraising efforts.
- Monitor and evaluate fundraising activities, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential Criteria
- Experience in community engagement or fundraising roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in using digital tools and platforms for communication and fundraising.
Desirable Criteria
- Knowledge of fundraising regulations and best practices.
- Experience in volunteer management.
