Financial Operations Manager

Charity People is partnering with Advice UK to recruit a Finance Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a growing organization that makes a significant impact on people's lives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations, preparing monthly management accounts, and assisting with annual budgeting and financial forecasting. They will also oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and support the year-end audit process.
The ideal candidate will have a recognized CCAB qualification, strong communication and organizational skills, and experience in financial management and analysis. They will be able to work closely with the Head of Finance and the Senior Leadership Team to drive financial strategy and implementation.
This is a full-time, permanent role with a salary of £45-50,000 per annum, including regional weighting allowance. The benefits package includes 20 days of annual leave, increasing by a day each year, 3 days leave between Christmas and New Year, home working allowance, and 6% pension.
The role is based remotely, with regular travel to London. The client encourages applicants from across the UK.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Assist with annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial strategy implementation.
- Manage cash flow, monitor bank balances, and ensure effective working capital management.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including VAT returns.
- Support the year-end audit process, preparing necessary schedules and liaising with auditors.
Candidates must have a recognized CCAB qualification, strong communication and organizational skills, and experience in financial management and analysis. They will be able to work closely with the Head of Finance and the Senior Leadership Team to drive financial strategy and implementation.
