Your shift patterns will be variable.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Providing menus, taking orders from patients, and assisting with dietary and allergen inquiries.
  • Preparing and delivering refreshments and meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.
  • Cleaning ward areas and washing dishes to ensure the kitchen is ready for the next service.
  • Collaborating with ward staff to meet patients' needs promptly.
  • Delivering excellent customer service by prioritizing the patient experience.
  • Understanding food and hygiene standards.
  • Demonstrating a passion for patient care and effective communication with patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals.
  • Working well under pressure, both independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet business needs.
  • Being comfortable in a healthcare environment, recognizing that you may encounter patients who are unwell or distressed.
  • No prior experience as a Catering Assistant is necessary; what matters most is your dedication to your role and a willingness to learn and go the extra mile for our patients.
  • This position requires a background check, with costs covered by the employer.
