About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Healthcare Support Worker to join our Special School Nursing Team. The successful candidate will work primarily in Henry Tyndale School, Farnborough, providing specialist support to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and complex health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist qualified staff in the provision of care as detailed in individual care plans.
  • Develop rapport with patients and treat all patients, carers, and staff with dignity and respect.
  • Work collaboratively with nursing staff, multi-disciplinary teams, and other allied health professionals.
  • Actively participate in team handovers, providing verbal reports as required.
  • Implement agreed standards of care provision in line with local Ward/Unit/community and Trust policies.
  • Make appropriate objective written entries in patient records.
  • Using judgement skills when seeking feedback from patients to inform qualified staff.
  • Be aware of own limitations, seek support if and when the need arises, maintain professional boundaries at all times.
  • Periodically collect specimens which may be body fluids, Phlebotomy blood, urine samples.

  • Healthcare Qualification Level 2, 3, or working towards gaining equivalent level.
  • Good basic education or GSCEs in English and Mathematics.
