Child Protection and Safeguarding Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) to join our team at Wiltshire Council. As a LADO, you will play a vital role in safeguarding children in Wiltshire, providing professional consultation and advice to Senior Managers and key stakeholders on safeguarding policies and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Chair and coordinate complex multi-agency meetings to review and manage allegations made against individuals working with children.
- Develop and implement effective management strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
- Provide training on allegations management to all agencies and organizations providing services to children in Wiltshire.
- Report on services performance, developmental needs, and areas of learning to SVPP, workforce development subgroup, and commissioners.
- Qualified Social Worker with a SW England registration.
- Substantial experience in child protection and safeguarding legislation.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively across agencies.
