Job Title: Appointed Person

Bennett and Game Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Appointed Person to join their team. As a key member of the site operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the site remains health and safety compliant and is delivered to the client's specifications.

Job Overview

The Appointed Person will be responsible for preparing and reviewing risk assessments, method statements, fire emergency plans, and critical lift plans to ensure safe and documented procedures. You will also ensure all construction activities are planned and executed in accordance with safety policies, objectives, and manuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review risk assessments, method statements, and critical lift plans to ensure safe and documented procedures.
  • Ensure all construction activities are planned and executed in accordance with safety policies, objectives, and manuals.
  • Coordinate logistics and deliveries from subcontractors to the site, ensuring smooth and timely operations.
  • Conduct DABS briefings, pre-start briefings, and Point of Work Risk Assessments (P.O.W.R.A.).
  • Lead site inductions for subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need relevant experience within civil and structural engineering. You should have a strong understanding of health and safety policies and procedures, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.
