Job Summary:

Barracudas Activity Day Camps is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Early Years Manager to join our team. As an Early Years Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Early Years staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality childcare services to children aged 4-11 years old.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of Early Years staff and provide guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality childcare services.
  • Program Development: Develop and implement engaging and educational programs for children aged 4-11 years old, aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Staff Management: Manage and supervise Early Years staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure the health and safety of children and staff by implementing and maintaining a safe and secure environment.
  • Safeguarding: Act as the Designated Person for Safeguarding and ensure that all staff are aware of and adhere to safeguarding procedures.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Administration: Manage administrative tasks, including staff records, attendance, and performance management.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Early Years qualified (Primary qualified, CACHE L3, Primary PGCE, BA Primary Education)
  • Experience: Early Years experience within a childcare setting
  • Eligibility: Eligible to work in the UK
  • DBS: Obtain an enhanced DBS check through Barracudas or have an existing enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • References: Provide satisfactory professional/academic references

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Health and Safety: Fulfil Health and Safety obligations by following procedures and safe systems as detailed in manuals and training.
  • Safeguarding: Report Child Protection concerns to a Designated Person at Central Office.
  • Medication Administration: Ensure necessary medication is administered correctly following EI forms and complete appropriate documentation.
  • Swimming Sessions: Bring swimwear daily as may be required to support a swimming session.
