Job Title: Evening Transport Supervisor

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Transport Supervisor to join our team in Carlisle. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient execution of collections and deliveries within required timescales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure customers are notified of any changes to collections/deliveries.
  • Allocate work from vehicles, drivers, collections, and deliveries to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure paperwork and KPI information is up to date, understanding and achieving targets related to fleet safety and efficiency.
  • Provide daily support to drivers, including de-briefings, timesheet authorization, and Tachograph data download.

Requirements

  • Previous transport and logistics experience is advantageous.
  • Previous use of transport systems is required.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good numerical and analytical skills, including experience with spreadsheets and computer-based systems.
  • Flexible approach to work demands, including evening and weekend work.
  • Good telephone manner and communication skills.
