About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Compliance Officer to join our team at OSJCT. As a key member of our Health and Safety Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and procedures across our care homes and settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Health and Safety Team in driving forward the Trust's standards and culture by ensuring compliance in key areas, including general health and safety policy and procedures, fire safety, risk assessment, and quality of training delivery.
  • Conduct incident investigations and support health and safety related projects and matters as directed.
  • Work closely with Operations, Care Quality, and Training functions to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Provide training and support to staff on health and safety matters, including fire safety and risk assessment.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • NEBOSH Certificate (QCF Level 3 equivalent) or equivalent essential.
  • Tech IOSH Membership minimum.
  • Previous experience in health and safety in the Care sector or similar.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ability to deliver training.
  • Full driving licence required.
