Electrical Contracts Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Engineer to join our team at Gilks (Nantwich). As a key member of our expanding team, you will be responsible for managing electrical contracts from initial enquiry to closure, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and to agreed timescales.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage varied contracts, including labour resource, materials, and sub-contractors.
  • Meet with clients to advise and assist with design and installation queries.
  • Estimate, plan, and track projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Attend client meetings and site visits as required.
  • Financially control projects to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations, liaising with SHEQ management.
  • Deliver contracts profitably to client satisfaction, adhering to internal processes.
  • Maintain existing customer relationships and develop new opportunities.
  • Lead and motivate a team of electricians, labourers, apprentices, and sub-contractors.
Requirements:
  • Health and Safety certification (SMSTS or similar) is preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant electrical qualifications and experience.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects.
  • Estimating experience with material take-off is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience working with Sage accounting is advantageous, although training can be provided.
