The Role: Principal Electrical Engineer

As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will develop and maintain group-wide technical standards for essential infrastructure, such as boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems. You will work with third-party consultants and contractors to provide technical design assurance, commission studies, and implement solutions that align with business objectives and whole-life cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain technical standards for electrical infrastructure
  • Provide technical design assurance and commission studies
  • Implement solutions that align with business objectives and whole-life cost optimization
  • Collaborate with Asset Maintenance and development teams to evaluate asset condition and performance
  • Identify risks and opportunities, and enhance asset management practices

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need a degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline, preferably with Chartered Engineer Status or working towards it. You should have at least five years of experience in building services projects and possess the skills to develop and implement strategies, synthesize information, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
