Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Family Legal Secretary to join our legal aid family law team. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support to solicitors and caseworkers, ensuring the efficient management of legal aid cases. This role is critical for maintaining the smooth operation of the department and supporting the team in delivering effective legal services to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diary Management: Efficiently manage and coordinate diaries for family law solicitors, including scheduling appointments, court dates, and client meetings.
  • Dictation: Transcribe and prepare legal documents from dictation, including letters, court forms, and case summaries, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards.
  • Administrative Support: Handle general administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing correspondence related to family law cases.
  • Case Management: Assist in the organization and management of legal aid cases, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
