Job Title: Mechanical Technician (HVAC Engineer)
Job Summary:
VGC Group is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician (HVAC Engineer) to join our team on a temporary basis, with the potential to become a permanent member of our team. As a Mechanical Technician (HVAC Engineer), you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing mechanical plant equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, overhaul, and fault-finding work on a wide range of mechanical plant equipment, including pumps, air compressors, fans, drives, motors, pneumatic controls, pressurization units, and electrical circuits associated with equipment.
- Conduct point-of-work risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure that all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn and in good working order.
Requirements:
- Holds City & Guilds Level III or NVQ (Essential)
- C&G/HNC or time-served in a relevant engineering discipline, factory services, or similar subject (Essential)
- IOSH Managing Safely (Desirable)
- Ability to read and understand relevant generic risk assessments (Essential)
