HFG Insurance Recruitment is seeking a skilled Contract Wording Specialist to join a leading Lloyd's Syndicate in the City of London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with underwriters to address coverage and regulatory issues during the risk placement process.
  • Develop and maintain internal wording resources and databases.
  • Enhance the technical expertise of underwriters through training and development on contractual matters.
  • Enforce underwriting standards and controls when finalizing contracts.
  • Represent the company in the market to offer solutions for new risks and legal developments.
  • Work with a diverse international portfolio, collaborating with colleagues in Europe and the USA for a varied workload.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the Lloyd's market, including exposure to either Open Market or DA business.
  • Experience in drafting contracts with attention to detail.
  • A deep understanding of insurance products and their value to customers from a commercial perspective.
  • The confidence to make coverage decisions, articulate the reasoning behind them, and assess the significance of technical details.
  • Proficiency in advanced MS Word and document formatting.
  • Ability to excel both independently and as part of a team.
