Job Title: Energy Storage Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Storage Engineer to join our team at The Green Recruitment Company. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative energy storage solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and engineering of battery energy storage systems (BESS) for various energy and industrial clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on BESS challenges and opportunities.
  • Develop and implement solutions from conceptual stage through to detailed engineering.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and capital estimates, undertaking techno-economic modeling and optimization/sizing studies for microgrids and hybrid systems.
  • Manage vendor equipment selection processes and ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and create Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
  • Oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and key point of contact for technical expertise and project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, energy systems, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in BESS engineering at a Principal or Technical Director level. Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Deep knowledge of battery technologies, energy management systems, and power electronics. Proficiency in design software and simulation tools.
  • Proven track record of leading complex projects, with a strong focus on technical excellence, client satisfaction, and commercial success.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and deliver innovative solutions in high-pressure environments.
  • Adept at navigating the regulatory landscape and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
