Clinical Neuropsychologist Preceptorship Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist to join our Neuropsychology Department at the renowned Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre. This is a full-time permanent position, with a structured framework for the preceptorship role to acquire the knowledge, skills, and experience required to progress to Band 8a once competencies have been met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist neuropsychological assessment and intervention for inpatients with neurological conditions
- Develop, implement, and monitor the effectiveness of rehabilitation and condition management programmes
- Undertake assessment of capacity for individual patients and provide advice to other health professionals
- Develop, implement, and monitor formal psychological intervention plans for emotional difficulties
- Undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual patients
- Provide specialist psychological advice, guidance, and consultation to other health professionals
- Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for assessment, formulation, and clinical interventions
- Provide appropriate verbal and written symptom management advice to patients, their families, or carers
- Maintain and promulgate the highest standards of clinical record keeping
Requirements:
- HCPC registration
- Enrolled or interested in post-doctoral training in Clinical Neuropsychology
- Experience of clinical practice within a neurological service setting
- Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of patients
- Well-developed communication skills and ability to deliver complex information
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
