About the Role:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing the collaborative relationships with our mid-tier customers. They will be responsible for developing relationships and retaining our customers; connecting with key business executives and stakeholders and scheduling regular business review meetings with customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Managing a customer portfolio: The Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of mid-tier customers, developing and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact: The Business Development Manager will be the primary point of contact for GFS customers, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Liaising with internal departments: The Business Development Manager will work closely with internal departments, including Customer Services, Operations, Pricing, Accounts and IT to improve the entire customer experience.
  • Identifying new business opportunities: The Business Development Manager will identify new business opportunities amongst existing customers and develop strategies to pursue them.
  • Retention of customers: The Business Development Manager will be responsible for retaining customers and nurturing those key relationships over time.
  • Meetings with customers: The Business Development Manager will schedule regular meetings with customers to discuss their needs and provide solutions.
  • Presentations to key customer contacts: The Business Development Manager will provide presentations to key customer contacts regarding GFS' products and services.
  • Providing accurate status reports: The Business Development Manager will provide accurate status reports of existing accounts and new business opportunities.
  • Generation of new business sales: The Business Development Manager will generate new business sales from existing customer accounts through upselling and cross-selling.
  • Managing customer profitability: The Business Development Manager will manage, maintain and improve the Customer's business profitability through commercial rate reviews and cost management.
  • Acting as a liaison: The Business Development Manager will act as a liaison between customers and GFS Departments.
  • Collaborating with the Sales team: The Business Development Manager will collaborate with the Sales team to support onboarding of new mid-tier customers.
  • Meeting deadlines and targets: The Business Development Manager will meet deadlines and achieve targets as set by Manager.
  • Ensuring customer compliance: The Business Development Manager will ensure that the customers within their remit adhere to payment terms.
  • Maintaining accurate records: The Business Development Manager will maintain accurate records of customers interactions up to date on HubSpot.
