Financial Reporting Manager

Sewell Wallis is partnering with a well-established business in Sheffield to recruit a Financial Reporting Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, fully qualified Accountant with a strong technical background looking to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the production of accurate, complete, and compliant annual reports, including drafting statutory financial statements and completing the external audit.
- Be the key point of contact for reconciliation, control, and reporting elements of the balance sheet, including fixed assets, stock, investments, and restricted funds.
- Manage cashflow reporting and liaise with key stakeholders to produce the management accounts pack.
- Lead and develop a small team, taking control of treasury management to maximise financial return on working capital and investments.
- Work across the SSC to continually improve financial processes and procedures.
- Deputise for the Financial Controller in their absence.
- Ensure VAT compliance and undertake ad hoc project work.
- Fully qualified Accountant, ideally ACA / ACCA / CIMA.
- Strong technical background with experience of producing statutory accounts and managing the external audit process.
- Knowledge of accounting principles under UK GAAP.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and confident communication.
- Ability to lead and develop a team.
- Hybrid working - 2/3 days in the office.
- 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, rising to 30 days over 5 years.
