About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our mental health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage inpatient admissions and team meetings, supervising team members to ensure excellent patient care.
  • Lead the clinical team, providing guidance on evidence-based treatment and care planning.
  • Collaborate with other services and agencies to ensure seamless care pathways.
  • Implement the Mental Health Act and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and carers to ensure person-centered care.
Requirements
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • Excellent knowledge in psychiatry, with the ability to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
