Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our mental health services.
Key Responsibilities- Manage inpatient admissions, team meetings, and supervision of team members.
- Lead the clinical leadership of the team, ensuring excellent patient care and outcomes.
- Contribute to the assessment of referrals and admissions, developing and implementing effective care plans.
- Liaise and collaborate with other services and agencies to ensure seamless care pathways.
- Implement the Mental Health Act and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
- Excellent knowledge in psychiatry, with excellent clinical skills using a bio-psycho-social perspective.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty, making decisions based on evidence and experience.
