Job Title: Attendance and Welfare Officer

U-Educate is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Attendance and Welfare Officer to join our team. As a key member of our school-based team, you will play a vital role in supporting the senior leadership team to track student attendance and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor daily student attendance records and identify patterns of absences or tardiness.
  • Communicate with parents or guardians regarding unexplained student absences and arrange meetings as necessary.
  • Develop and implement attendance improvement plans for students with chronic absenteeism.
  • Liaise with teachers, school counsellors, and administrators to address and support students' attendance issues.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports on student attendance for school records and compliance with state laws.
Requirements:
  • A positive and committed individual who will take responsibility for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our children throughout the school day.
  • Ability to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to work with children.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding Training (U-Educate offers free training for those without a current certificate).
  • Secondary school experience preferred but not essential.
