Role Overview

We are in search of a grounded and innovative remote Lead Programmer who can leverage their extensive coding expertise and experience to enhance our studio. This position is ideal for an engineer who is not only knowledgeable but also eager to share insights and foster growth within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of essential game systems.
  • Mentor and support junior programmers, fostering their development.
  • Quickly acquire comprehensive knowledge of emerging technologies and development methodologies.
  • Establish best practices and effectively convey these to team members and other departments.
  • Apply technical knowledge and experience to address game development challenges.
  • Optimize and profile game systems for improved performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in game programming.

Essential Skills

  • In-depth understanding of engine architecture and familiarity with the complete development lifecycle.
  • Proven knowledge of artificial intelligence is a plus.
  • Experience collaborating with design and content teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in C++ programming.
  • Extensive experience with Unreal Engine.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, along with a collaborative spirit.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Solid mathematical skills.
  • A genuine passion for game programming.
  • Experience in a leadership role within a team.
