Job Description

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and flexible Classroom Support Assistant to provide ongoing classroom support and one-on-one assistance to pupils in need of extra attention and guidance in Primary and Middle schools in the Dorchester area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide classroom support to teachers and pupils, assisting with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery.
  • Work one-on-one with pupils who require additional support, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and school staff to ensure a smooth and successful experience for all.
Requirements:
  • Enhanced Child DBS certificate registered to the update service.
  • Experience working with children across EYFS to KS2/3 (any Key stage experience accepted).
  • Flexibility and drive to deliver excellent support for the class or individual pupils.
  • Completion of our vetting/compliance checks, enabling you to work with children safely.
