About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing our information security program to protect our systems and data from cyber threats.
Main Responsibilities
- Design and implement security policies, procedures, and technologies to protect our systems and data
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential threats
- Develop and implement incident response plans to ensure timely and effective response to security incidents
- Provide security awareness training to employees and ensure compliance with security policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of our business
Requirements
- At least 5 years' experience in an information security position in a UK-wide or international digital business
- Strong expertise in implementing security solutions and tools for cloud-native distributed systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of information security management systems and tools
- Ability to deal with complex and high-risk problems across a diverse range of IT security threats
- Strong understanding of key aspects of data security, including encryption methods, access management, and data warehouse/data lake security
Desirable Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+
- Experience with multi-site business operations
- Good understanding of project management principles
