Job Title: Security Systems Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Security Systems Specialist to join our team at FAFS Fire & Security. As a Security Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, installing, commissioning, and servicing automatic Fire Detection, Protection, and Alarm Systems in and around Greater London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out scheduled routine servicing in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner in line with our Company's quality standards
  • Carry out all other necessary works required at customer premises in accordance with our Company's quality standards
  • Support the rota schedule as required to maintain a reliable and responsive out of hours service for our customers
  • Effectively communicate with our customers to ensure a good understanding of system and site status, particularly system defects that affect its correct function
  • Indicate to our client's customers any Fire Safety information relevant to the site
  • Plan own work, including routine service/maintenance visits, emergency call out requirements, and remedial repairs and minor additions to existing installations in line with service administration guidance
  • Ensure legible and timely completion of our clients' paperwork as required
  • Be responsible for the management and security of own equipment stock in an efficient and economical manner by determining stock levels in relation to work activities and ordering stock items as and when appropriate
  • Operate in accordance with our client's requirements, Company and customer's quality standards and health and safety requirements
  • Discuss and recommend suggestions for system/service improvement with Line Manager

Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 3 years experience in a like for like or similar role. The ideal candidate will have a full and detailed understanding of BS5839 Part 1 and a comprehensive understanding of the causes and cures of security systems problems, including an ability to recommend changes to practices and processes that may cause false alarms as well as changes to the fire detection, alarm systems.
