- The primary objective of this position is to oversee, guide, and efficiently manage the Licensing Services, supporting the Councils as part of the #OneTeam Transformation initiative. The role requires comprehensive oversight of all activities managed within the teams through effective line management across various regions.
- The incumbent will serve as the professional authority on Licensing issues, addressing the most significant, contentious, and intricate matters related to Licensing, and will spearhead the resolution of these challenging situations.
- Responsibilities include reviewing and refining all processes associated with the Licensing service across the Councils, ensuring they are effective and enhance efficiency at the point of service delivery.
- Collaboration with the Director is essential to lead and implement commercial strategies across a range of regulatory services, particularly focusing on developing a fee structure for licensing consultations and pre-application advice.
- Monitoring revenue initiatives and providing regular, precise project and financial management updates to the Director is a key responsibility.
- The role also involves contributing relevant expertise and professional insights into departmental and corporate projects, leading specific initiatives as required, and acting as a deputy for the Director when necessary.
