Culinary Manager for Educational Institutions

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef Manager to enhance the culinary experiences provided by Chartwells in a full-time capacity, with a commitment of 35 hours per week.

Your typical work schedule will be as follows:

  • Monday: Full-time (Days)
  • Tuesday: Full-time (Days)
  • Wednesday: Full-time (Days)
  • Thursday: Full-time (Days)
  • Friday: Full-time (Days)
  • Saturday: Off
  • Sunday: Off

Please note: This position is contracted for 44 weeks annually.

Your primary responsibilities will encompass:

  • Crafting delicious, high-quality meals that satisfy our clients and patrons.
  • Identifying and implementing enhancements to our food service operations.
  • Training and mentoring our staff, leading by example to ensure team success.
  • Delivering our appealing food concepts to our clientele.
  • Managing food orders, overseeing stock levels, and minimizing food waste.
  • Ensuring the efficiency of all catering functions, including inventory management and action plan execution.
  • Overseeing budgets and achieving financial objectives.
  • Implementing and monitoring Health & Safety standards to guarantee compliance across all catering teams.

Our ideal Chef Manager will possess:

  • A City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent qualification.
  • A passion for exceptional cuisine and outstanding customer service.
  • Experience in managing teams in a comparable role.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster relationships.
