We are seeking a highly motivated Band 7 physiotherapist to join our team at Farnham Hospital, supporting the rehabilitation service on Bentley and Runfold wards.
As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will work to provide rehabilitation for a wide range of orthopaedic, medical, and complex conditions. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and evaluating the physiotherapy service on the wards, working collaboratively with occupational therapists.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake detailed assessments, documenting findings and demonstrating clinical reasoning skills.
- Maintain accurate records in line with Chartered Society of Physiotherapy standards and Trust and service standards and policies.
- Communicate complex and sensitive information to patients, carers, and other staff, including imparting unwelcome news.
- Maintain confidentiality and appreciate cultural and religious differences when agreeing treatment plans with patients.
- Ensure timely and effective communication with the Therapy Manager and senior staff on all professional matters.
- Participate in clinical audit as part of our compliance in clinical governance.
- Manage potentially stressful, upsetting, or emotional situations in an empathetic manner and demonstrate resilience in challenging situations.
- Work as part of the team to provide an efficient and effective service and demonstrate leadership with service development.
- Supervise Band 5, 6, therapy assistants, and students, supporting their development and participating in the appraisal scheme as an appraiser and appraisee.
- Participate in training for physiotherapy and the wider multidisciplinary team and ensure professional competence is maintained by participating in all CPD opportunities and maintaining a portfolio.
- Participate in weekend working rota.
