Job Title: Catering Assistant

Anchor is seeking a skilled Catering Assistant to join our team at Landemere in Sinfin, Derby. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents, ensuring their nutritional needs are met while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve meals to residents, adhering to dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Assist with food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring dishes are visually appealing and meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the Chef Manager to plan and implement menus, ensuring variety and nutritional balance.
  • Monitor and control food waste, minimizing unnecessary expenses.
Requirements:
  • Level 2 food safety certificate.
  • Health and safety procedures, including COSHH.
  • Previous catering experience, with knowledge of basic food safety and safe use of knives and kitchen equipment.
  • Experience working with older people, understanding their needs and preferences.
