Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a highly regarded school in Milton Keynes. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and a commitment to providing high-quality support to enable learners to make good progress.

About the Role:
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher to create and deliver engaging activities that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Develop a holistic approach to meeting the Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs of students, working alongside teachers, support staff, families, and external agencies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans, Behaviour Plans, Risk Assessments, and Therapy Care programmes for a designated group or class.
  • Build therapeutic relationships with students and provide tailored support based on individual needs.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with SEN students or a strong desire to work in this field.
  • A good understanding of SEN with a passion for professional growth.
  • The ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
  • Commitment to working fixed days, whether full-time or part-time.
  • A clear and valid DBS on the update service or a willingness to obtain one.
  • Relevant training to support students with learning difficulties.
