Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in Milton Keynes. The successful candidate will provide support to students with special educational needs, working closely with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting class teachers with the preparation of resources and lesson plans to meet the individual needs of students with SEN
  • Providing one-to-one support to students with SEN, under the supervision of the class teacher
  • Working closely with the class teacher to report on student progress and develop strategies to support their learning
  • Assisting with the implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • A minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Maths
  • Experience working with students with SEN, although not essential, prior experience in a similar role would be beneficial
  • Initiative, organisational and prioritisation skills to manage tasks efficiently
