About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Sterilization Technician to join our team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust. As a key member of our Sterile Services department, you will be responsible for ensuring the decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments and providing sterile procedure packs for our operating rooms.
Key Responsibilities
- Decontaminate and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Prepare and package sterile procedure packs for operating rooms
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure efficient and effective sterilization processes
- Monitor and maintain equipment and facilities to ensure compliance with infection control standards
Requirements
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience in a sterile services or hospital environment (desirable)
