Job Description:
Sanctuary Personnel Ltd, a leading recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Social Worker to join our Assessment Team on a permanent basis. As a Consultant Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in undertaking assessments of children in need, ensuring robust and timely care planning, and demonstrating high standards of practice that prioritize the needs of children.
Key Responsibilities:
- To undertake assessments of children in need in accordance with the Assessment Framework and Working Together, ensuring timely and effective care planning.
- To demonstrate consistently high standards of practice, prioritizing the needs of children and working in partnership with families.
- To operate within a performance framework, striving to improve personal performance and meet identified developmental targets.
- To carry out other duties as defined by the Director of Children's Services, ensuring a high standard of electronic social care recording and accurate loading of the services database.
- To ensure the Service's procedures for managing risk of significant harm to children are followed at all times, seeking appropriate advice and authorisation from managers.
- To prepare reports and statements for court, case conferences, and looked after reviews to a high standard, meeting deadlines and evidencing involvement of children, families, and carers.
- To represent children, young people, families, carers, and partner agencies to access services, convening and chairing multi-agency child protection meetings and planning meetings.
- To play a leading role in improving practice and quality of assessments and care planning within the Team, mentoring assigned social work staff, leading team meeting discussions, and workshops, and updating the Team on practice developments and research findings.
Requirements:
- A social work qualification or equivalent.
- Continual professional development.
- Social Work England registered.
