Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and drafting plans for surface water management, sewer systems, and external ground levels in both residential and commercial projects
  • Creating and developing highway designs, including both vertical and horizontal alignments
  • Utilizing specialized software for drainage and infrastructure design, such as AutoCAD, PDS, and Microdrainage/Windes
  • Preparing technical documentation and schedules
  • Representing the firm in discussions with clients, other professionals, and suppliers as necessary
  • Ensuring project deliverables are met within specified timelines and budget constraints
  • Making informed service and design decisions that align with project goals
  • Communicating effectively with Directors regarding service and design decisions to meet both company and client objectives
  • Coordinating efforts with project team members and keeping all relevant personnel updated on client matters
  • Providing mentorship and support to Graduate Engineers as needed
  • Engaging in continuous professional development and personal growth
  • Actively pursuing Chartered Engineering status, if applicable

Qualifications Required:

A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent) is essential, along with Chartered status or progress towards it with the Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE). Experience in residential infrastructure design, particularly in drainage and highway design to adoptable standards (S38, S278, S104, and S206) is also required.
