NCSC Speechwriter and External Affairs Manager

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our intelligence partners MI5 and MI6 to protect the UK from terrorism, cyber-attacks, and espionage.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting the Head of External Affairs: You will work closely with the Head of External Affairs to deliver the NCSC's External Affairs strategy, aligned to the overarching communications and organisational strategy. This will involve engaging with government, public, and private sector stakeholders, including big tech companies, charities, law enforcement, and wider intelligence community colleagues.
- Writing Agenda-Setting Speeches: You will write speeches for the CEO and senior NCSC representatives, working with internal stakeholders to ensure speaking engagements and speeches align with the NCSC and wider GCHQ's strategic priorities.
- Building Relationships: You will build and maintain effective relationships with key organisations and teams to support the organisation's objectives.
- Stakeholder Mapping and Engagement: You will contribute to the development of stakeholder mapping and a detailed two-way engagement plan for each stakeholder group.
- Research and Reporting: You will research and report on opportunities and risks for our relationships with key external stakeholders.
- Communications Material: You will assist in the production of briefings, events, and other communications material for key stakeholders to promote better understanding of key issues and initiatives.
- Experience in Communications: You will have experience working in a fast-moving communications environment.
- Speechwriting and Communications: You will have experience of speech-writing or other written communications for public audiences.
- Stakeholder Engagement: You will have experience working with a broad set of stakeholders in the public and private sectors.
