Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement reliable financial systems and processes to support long-term growth.
- Lead the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic reviews.
- Provide regular financial analysis and insights to the senior leadership team.
- Financial Reporting & Risk Management:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.
- Conduct weekly, monthly, and annual financial reviews, making strategic recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and high-quality work.
- Lead the finance team in achieving key KPIs, such as managing aged debtors, controlling costs, and meeting long-term financial goals.
- Business Partnering:
- Work closely with the senior management team, providing financial insights to support business decisions.
- Balance risk and opportunities, ensuring that financial objectives are aligned with the company's strategic vision.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a finance leader or in a similar role, ideally within the IT, telecoms, MSP, or security sectors.
- A deep understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, and regulations in the UK.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while delivering strong financial results.
