Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to join our team at Michael Page (UK). As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day management of the finance function, ensuring excellent service and support is provided to all areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management:
    • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
    • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts, providing insights into variances and recommending corrective actions where necessary.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to the senior management team, supporting business decision-making.
    • Monitor financial performance against strategic goals and objectives, identifying areas of risk and opportunity.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.
    • Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies as needed.
    • Manage and mitigate financial risks, including currency risk, credit risk, and operational risks.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
    • Ensure that the team operates efficiently and delivers high-quality outputs.

The Successful Applicant

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager who has:

  • 1-3 years PQE (CA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the Finance department.
  • Strong understanding of financial trends within the industrial / manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in financial management software.
